This video contains the full renal review for the CCRN examination, as well as, review for the most common electrolyte imbalances. The renal portion on the CCRN examination is fairly straight forward as long as you understand the difference in pre-renal, intra-renal, and post-renal concepts, as well as, acute kidney injury versus end-stage renal failure. Don't worry! If you don't know what thos...

CCRN Cardiology Practice Questions Part 1
This follows the Barron’s CCRN Exam book except has additional crrt info.
Are these slides available for download? Thank you.
A wonderful an inspiring story Brent. Similar story to mine, my Mom has heart problem when I was very young and felt powerless and hopeless. I wanted to know more about heart and became RN. I have helped my family and many others. At work I become a role model for other nurses. I bet you do to. I love your CCRN youtube. Thank you.
Do you have a video on hemodynamics? its mentioned in the video but I dont see it posetd
FBI. Holland. Unk CNA Cardiac curses. Harrassment.
Lots of good info here, but I had to slow the video down to process everything. Maybe I'm just dumb, but this video is verrrry fast
I'm the same way lol
Did he ever make a hemodynamic video
Is the microphone in your mouth?
Thanks for the video! Very good lecture
it would be nice if there was a link to download this slideshow
What gets forgotten often is that metoprolol can mask elevated HR for SIRS criteria.
Also blunts the ability for HR to compensate in volume loss.
Do you need an 83 to pass or 88/125. I’ve seen both on different websites !
Good content
I just passed my CCRN exam today after watching all your videos. Thank you thank you
I really appreciate these videos! I watched all of them while reviewing for the test and just passed my CCRN today! I appreciate you making these videos and the content really did apply to the test!
What did you use to study?
Thank you. I just passed the exam, this was very helpful.
Did u get questions about stuff he noted on here?
do you have these in a downloaded powerpoint so i could print off?
May I have the copy of the explaination or soft copy
Where can I get these power points?
Perfect for learners who cannot read for more than five minutes without feeling eye strain.
FANTASTIC lecture! Thank you!
For 17 the ratio is way beyond 20! The creatine of 3.6 times 20 is 72. And the bun is 86!
That's pre Renal value, so patient would need fluid not HD
The website doesn’t exist anymore . Anybody know where we can get the pdf notes ?
Great review!
Impossible to watch, ads every few minutes…
Thanks for these videos! I passed my CCRN yesterday. These were nice to listen to after reviewing the same chapter from Barrons review , kind of like a follow along. For anyone taking the test, Barrons does a great job of giving difficult questions in comparison to the actual exam. Do all of the practice questions after each topic giving main focus to Cardio, Resp, and hemodynamics and neuro. The synergy model is something you should def glance at before the exam.
Sorry and link you can share
Did you feel like since you were able to answer the barons questions that you were able to answer the CCRN test questions easier since the Barrons questions were harder?
@@TennisBabee2011Yes! I do think barrons questions were slightly harder and understanding why I got those questions wrong helped me answer questions on the exam.
Um, won’t alkalosis decrease icp? Cpp = map - icp. Thus increasing cerebral perfusion?
alkalosis causes vasoconstriction which may decrease ICP. But it will decrease CPP. Vasodilation from acidosis can increase CPP. Think about vasopressors and how they vasoconstrict and shunt blood away from the periphery. Same thing with alkalosis, it vasoconstricts and shunts blood out of the brain causing a decrease in CPP. CPP does equal map - icp, but if you decrease ICP and raise the MAP with vasopressors, you don't increase the CPP.
Excellent presentation. Thank you.
If any of you own the Barron's book, his videos are direct quotes from the book, as he reads it verbatim from the book as it is on these slides. Same words, same order, same structure. Just in case you want a hard copy of the material, as he simply took all information directly from the book.
I noticed this too. Nice to read along to though!
Where can we get a medical practice suture kit, such as this one??
Amazon/Temu and a few other online stores have really cheap practice ones. I keep a cheap suture kit in my car for emergencies.
Does allergy medicine stunt growth?
Number 8 is very poorly written. It says that D is wrong because a decrease in cardiac output will cause a decrease in oxygen delivery. Yes it will cause a decrease in oxygen delivery to the body. But thats not what this is about. The question is about COMPENSATION for a decrease in cardiac output. The body would compensate by trying to INCREASE oxygen delivery to the heart. So options A and D are very similar to each other. Saying that a decrease in cardiac output leads to a decrease in oxygen delivery is obvious. But we aren't talking about direct cause and effect of what happens to the body. We are talking about compensation of what will happen to try to increase cardiac efficiency and output. A totally different thing altogether.
I have never had allergic reaction to any medication but after receiving my iron infusion (Feraheme) close to the end of my infusion, my right leg was starting to hurt but since my legs often hurt I wasn't sure if it was related so I told the nurse. Then towards the end I got super tired like I haven't slept for a week and that made me have a hard time understanding what my daughter said I thought it's probably because I'm exhausted. So after my infusion I went home and slept hard where it was hard for my daughter to wake me up. Later that night like at 2am I was starting to struggle to breath I was on my way to sleep at that time which was happening often before my infusion so I took 2 Benadryl just in case and it helped but then I noticed my whole body getting hard and my other daughter that works nights came home and said you are really pale and you are way swollen so she took me to the ER. They treated me for an allergic reaction and helped some with the swelling but it didn't go away until 4 days later. I have had iron infusions before (InFed) but it didn't do anything but give me a headache. So was that an allergic reaction or a severe side effect?
I also was dizzy and after I woke up a few hours later I struggled to walk to the bathroom and my head has been hurting like when you have a fever and want to lay down. But I didn't have a fever
In systolic heart failure you said to give beta blockers but then said contraindicated is negative inotropes?
cries'
Difficult to hear, wish you would get a better mic or speak up
Thanks man. I appreciate you.
IABPs increase coronary perfusion, VADs decrease work by unloading the LV
I am experiencing an allergic reaction to a knee implant and/or cement used. It’s agonizing and trying to talk to close minded orthopedic surgeons!!
Excellent
I passed my CCRN exam today! What a relief! Honestly, the practice tests were harder than the actual exam. Don’t be like me and get a bunch of resources. Just William review course and Barrons if you have access to one. Focus on cardiovascular, respiratory, and the Synergy model you will pass. Just do some practice test in the Barrons book and you will be good. The first time I sat down and answered 150 was when I took the test.if you need any of this resources mentioned above I will be more than happy to help you on how to get them.
What is the William review? I am also studying for my CCRN and would love to know what other resources I can be looking into. Thank you!
Congratulations!!! Thanks so much for sharing all those insights. I’m tryna be like you one day🥰
Hi. So videos are helpful?
@turirevinova these videos are following barrons ...
How'd you get resources on the synergy model ?
great review
Well, watching my hives and inflammation dissolve every day until it all disappeared is definitely appeasing, I went with what I mentioned and after 20 days my urticaria/angioedema disappeared. I just go'ogled the latest by Shane Zormander and now my skin is as smooth and healthy as it has ever been!
Watching this because my girlfriend is being unsafe with a knife rn
it seems like you are reading along Barrons CCRN book
Thank you
We weren't taught this in nursing school
I’ve never met a nurse who does sutures in a professional setting.
Nice one there
Will be taking my exam in October of this year! Thank you for this review!!
I’d love to know how you did and what your experience was like if you don’t mind sharing? Wishing you the best on your exam!
Thanks a lot Brent!!! I just did my CCRN today and passed. Your videos were very helpful!! Appreciate your hardwork in putting those videos. Thank you!!!
How was it ?
@@kajmiiir__RN_BSN_CCRN It was real hard. Lots and lots of hemodynamics and the resp related questions. I’ve had real hard time figuring out between the two options.
